Election Fever Touches Bo’ness

Election Fever Touches Bo’ness

It was good to see a reasonable crowd of people attend the local husting which we were hosting tonight in St Andrew’s Parish Church Bo’ness. If you want to see the recording check out www.standonline.org.uk. I think it will be up for a few days perhaps over the weekend. The technical side of the event [...]

Effective Evangelism Equals Authentic Lifestyles!

Effective Evangelism Equals Authentic Lifestyles!

I totally agreed with Graham Tomlin’s analysis of our post modern or post Christian culture here in the UK. We are in a different place from where we were 50 years ago. The rise of pluralism has made it difficult for Christians to talk about world evangelisation in the way we once did. Certainly the whole conept of being married today has gone out of fashion. More and more [...]

Politicians Need To Fear the People

Well the General Election has been called and its all bets off as to who will win. I notice that the party leaders are looking to find ways to encourage us all to go voting. As a nation these islands are now under threat not from an outside enemy but from ourselves. When it comes [...]

Understanding Failure Helps Understand God

Understanding Failure Helps Understand God

Sometimes in ministry, (by ministry I mean all those who are involved in some way or another in serving others in the name of Christ), you wake up in the morning knowing that there are things to be done and not enough time to do them. There are people to see, situations to pray about [...]

The Naked Truth

The Naked Truth

Just read about a twenty five year old naked man in Los Angelos trying to commit suicide from an old rusty cross on top of a church building. He was eventually brought down and led away. The story of Christ’s humiliation always challenges me to reflect on the areas of my life where I need [...]
