Challenge No2 Keep a Journal

coffee_journal_mills1983-flickr_attrib_noderivs Today's challenge is all about keeping a note of what god is going to do in your life over the next 39 days. Hopefully you've told a friend about the challenge now its time to record all the things that will happen to you over the next few days. Taking time out at the end of each day for reflection is a great discipline. Don't beat yourself up if you can't manage to write something everyday. However you will be amazed at how addictive it can become. This is a great opportunity to go and buy yourself a really nice journal. Take a moment to reflect on what you have learned today. At the end of the day start writing down some of the key thoughts that are going through your mind at this time. What are the issues your praying about. The text i thought we could consider is Psalm 119 verse 11. In this verse the psalmist reminds us of the importance of memorising scripture. Keep this in mind. This journey we are all on will be very different for each of us. It is as though Jesus has invited us to retrace his journey of temptation inthe wilderness. It is fascinating to remember that Jusus sustained himself through the temptations by memorising and repeating scripture. So don't forget to reflect and remember the good things God has given you

God’s hilarious sometimes!last night really late before i went to sleep i had a stirring in me about the benefits i would get from recording the dicipleship challenge in my slightly abandoned prayer journal. but i quickly (and lazily)decided that i would have more time for things like this after exams and went to sleep. only to wake up to todays challenge!haha!i really need to learn i cant sleep on the job when the boss really does see all!
