Father's Heart in Bo'ness

Later on today hundreds of people will be descending upon our little town for the "Father's Heart Conference". Ken Whitelaw the local Apostolic Church Pastor has worked hard to bring this event to the town. I wish him well and hope that the whole day is a great success. Last year I visited the Clan Gathering in St Andrew's and heard Dr Mark Stibbe, the day before I took a group from the church over to India to visit our partner churches. He is an excellent communicator...

Alpha Starts Again

it was good to see a whole new Alpha Group start tonight, at the Inchyra Hotel near Polmont. I think this is going to be a really good group. Everyone who came along seemed really interested. Its such a relaxing venue with everyone seated around the table. I've often likened it to Martin Luther's table talk. Although we use the themes of Alpha we don't use their material exclusively, and we certainly don't use the video. It is over dinner that many people share with...

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who helped tonight down at the church. Great to see all the comments on the blog about the service. It was also encouraging to see Stuart Sharp the minister of St John's Camelon with us tonight. Stuart is interested in finding ways where we can work together. I do hope that we will be able to attract the support of more churches as we develop Sanctuary First. The video we used got a very good crit as did the prayers of...

Well here I am back thinking about structures again. Its late Saturday night and I'm preparing the sermon for tomorrow. Nehemiah building the walls of Jerusalem, well trying to get the funding, to rebuild the walls. I've been quite surprised at the number of wee films on Youtube about Nehemiah. Some of them are a bit corny have a look at this one.[kml_flashembed movie="http://www.youtube.com/v/f9y2QBI1V1M" width="425" height="350" wmode="transparent" /] I'm really...

SANCTUARY FIRST

Time just seems to fly by. I've not been as diligent as I should be about keeping the blog up to date. We have a lot of interesting things brewing over here in Bo'ness. Apart from all the re-structuring, we are also making plans for a brand new contemporary worship service to be called SANCTUARY FIRST. Its all about putting worship back in first place in our lives. SANCTUARY FIRST seeks to help us do this by committing to a monthly multimedia worship service that...
