I was greatly encouraged when I heard of the elation Min-Jin Kym felt when her Antonio Stradivarius violin was recovered this week , three years after it had been stolen from her side in a London railway station. The violin was worth £1.2 million. Min-Jin Kym the musician and owner spoke of the loss and the acute responsibility she felt and how the incident was never far from her mind. She also spoke of her elation when her violin was returned.

This morning I listened to Justin Welby being interviewed by John Humphreys. I thought he handled the interview with a great deal of insight and humility. He answered difficult question with an honesty from which many politicians could learn.

Everyone seems to ask me the same question. How do you feel about starting back in the parish. The answer is simple, every day is different. So I feel different about every day. One thing I'm certain about is that I know there are few jobs that can offer more satisfaction. To be a minister of the Gospel is the greatest job in the world.
