Waking Up To Face A Challenge

On Wednesday morning of this week I was faced with the task to end all tasks. It was a task that grown men have been know to refuse point blank. This task would make heros and even generals run for cover. The task was far beyond my experience and capabilities. I even shudder now as I think of the magnitude of the request and the trust that was placed upon my shoulders. You are asking me what was the task? Well it was to bake a cake. The Practice of Prayer Pentecost and Power

Well here I am back online again. Yesterday was a busy day. I put in a 19 hour shift, followed by a couple of hours at the prayer vigil before I went to bed this morning at 3.00am . I think I was in 2nd year at Secondary School. I was talking about music to a classmate, I think it might have been Sam Elder. He told me about this singer called Dylan. He said he was a poet and that he had something to say. As the General Assembly meets this week would the average...

Preacher John Reconstructed 25 Years Later

You may recall a few posts back that I was telling you all about the story of Preacher John. Well here is the reconstructed version of the song 25 years later. This is the song I wrote for John Stuart's Induction yes 25 years ago. I grateful to my songwriting partner Iain Jamieson for putting down the soundtrack and for the creative input of Campbell Dye a past member of the Bogle Band and who worked on the keys and fills. Let hear what you think of this version....
