What is Truth?

It's really quite frustrating to be here at the Lausanne Congress. It is almost impossible to get on to the Internet. I think that they must have not fully appreciated the demand that participants would make on the wifi. I made a post yesterday but when I tried to post it the system crashed. So here I go again. The theme that was being developed yesterday was the question that Pilate asked 'What is truth?' flowing from this was the question, how should we Christians...

It was a brilliant day the sun was shining and there was a refreshing breeze blowing in from the Atlantic. I was glad we had gone through the registration for the conference the previous day. The centre looks fantastic and the staff couldn't have been more helpful, but I must confess I'm already feeling hemmed in even perhaps imprisoned at the thought of 6 days in a conference centre. I'm not looking forward to fighting my way through 5000 people to get my daily packed...

We were up early this morning to catch the tour bus to get a ride around the city. It was the red tour. The last tour bus I was on was in Glasgow. We were wondering if our flat would be authentic as you read about a lot of people being duped over the Internet. Anyway Sharon was a real person and our flat is ideal for what we require. It's about 900 metres from the CICC. We walked down there today and sorted out our registration then we wondered around the Waterfront. It was a buzz with vibrant music and it looked a great...

The phone rang and the voice on the other end said "it's finished- completed It was Rae telling me she had completed the Church promotional video. The truth is we've been trying to do this for months on end but other things have come in the way. However Rae was determined that I would see the finished work and sign it off. It's all part of out Stewardship Campaign. We've never asked the church members to increase their giving since 2003 so the finance group...

Doubters Annonymous

"Look Lord I've had enough, I'm no hero.No miracle worker.I'm like all the rest of my family. When its gets tough I always run away" - Bogle Paraphrase 1 Kings 19. 4 Lord I take heart when I see You don't write off doubters like me. I also take heart when I realise Sarah. Abraham's wife she doubted, she even smiled, incredulously, when she was told she would have a child in old age. Moses not only doubted but argued his point with you, when...
